Benefits

Each year, approximately 37 students are selected as Lester B Pearson Scholars. The scholarship covers tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years of undergraduate study at the University of Toronto.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible:

• Must be an international student requiring a study permit.
• Must be in the final year of senior secondary school in 2024/2025 or have graduated no earlier than June 2024.
• Must begin studies at the University of Toronto in September 2025 (students currently attending post-secondary studies or starting in January 2025 elsewhere are ineligible).

Application Process

1. School Nomination
   • High schools not previously contacted must apply to participate.
   • Schools with previous participation will receive nomination access starting July 1, 2024.
   • Deadline for school nomination: October 11, 2024.
2. University Application
   • Apply for admission to the University of Toronto by October 18, 2024, for September 2025 entry.
   • Consideration for the Pearson Scholarship is limited to the applicant’s first choice of program at U of T.
3. Scholarship Application
   • Upon receiving nomination and applying to the university, complete the online Lester B Pearson Scholarship application by November 8, 2024.
   • Submit all necessary documentation by the same deadline.

• Student OUAC admission application deadline: October 18, 2024
• Student scholarship application and documentation submission deadline: November 8, 2024
