The LEAP Africa programme is structured to empower Nigerian youths with the skills, knowledge, and resources they would need to effect these changes. There would be training and mentorship for undergraduate students in tertiary institutions who would be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Programme Overview                       

LEAP Africa recognizes the potential of Nigerian youths to lead and create change but acknowledges the need for proper training and mentorship. The YLDP is designed to bridge this gap by equipping undergraduates in tertiary institutions with essential leadership skills and knowledge.

Key Components

1. Self-Paced Courses: The curriculum is built on three main pillars:

• Leadership
• Active Citizenship
• Community and Sustainable Development

2. Group Mentorship Sessions: Participants will receive guidance from expert social innovators and change-makers as they implement impactful change projects.
3. Inter-School Debates: These debates will focus on national issues, fostering critical thinking and public speaking skills.
4. Funded Community Change Projects: Participants will have the opportunity to develop and execute projects that address community needs.
5. Virtual Learning Sessions: These sessions aim to develop participants’ mindsets and equip them with the tools needed to become effective change agents.
