WACCBIP DELTAS II Internship Programme for Recent Graduates

A graduate internship programme has been made available to new graduates by the WACCBIP DELTAS II programme. This internship will enable graduates to work in an environment that fosters research leadership development.

The WACCBIP is the Centre of Excellence for biomedical research and it collaborates with international partners to support a broad range of research activities. The DELTAS II programme is also funded by the Science for Africa Foundation (SFA) with support from Wellcome and the UK FCDO.

Eligibility

To apply for this programme, you must:

  • Have completed undergraduate studies by July/August 2024 and be registered for National Service.
  • Have majored in any of the following fields: Biological Sciences, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, English Communication, or Linguistics.
  • Be hardworking, highly motivated, and interested in promoting scientific research.

Responsibilities

The successful Graduate Intern will be expected to:

  • Assist in research activities at the organization.
  • Contribute to the delivery of training programmes at the organization.
  • Participate in research conferences and workshops.
  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Director and/or immediate supervisor.

The successful Graduate Intern will receive a monthly stipend in addition to their National Service allowance.
