Young African entrepreneurs who have a passion to bring their innovative projects to life, the TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year Challenge is available for you. This challenge aims to support and encourage you to continue to progress in your business.

This special edition is open to participants across 32 African countries, and it is done in celebration of the 100th anniversary of TotalEnergies.

If you have a startup less than three years old or a pioneering business idea, this challenge is for you! Check below for more details:

Requirements

• Open to individuals between 18 and 35 years old (born between May 1, 1988, and April 30, 2006).
• Participants must be residents of the country where they are applying.
• Eligible projects include:
  • Startups: Registered in the application country on or after April 30, 2020, and less than three years old.
  • Business Ideas: Ready to be developed within a few months after the challenge.

Categories

Innov’Up:

• Recognizes one winner per category in each participating country.
• Four additional winners will be chosen by an international jury in the Power’Up category.

Cycl’Up:

• Awards startups or business ideas exemplifying the principles of the circular economy.

Power’Up:

• Recognizes startups or business ideas promoting, creating, producing, or using sustainable and affordable energy.
