Rhodes Global Scholarship 2025 for Postgraduates (Fully Funded)

Exceptional young individuals from across the world who wants to pursue your studies at the University of Oxford, the Rhodes Global Scholarship is available for you. It is a fully-funded, full-time postgraduate award.

As a Rhodes Scholar, you get two free economy flight tickets to the University of Oxford and back after your studies. You also get a settling-in allowance upon your arrival in Oxford.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality/Citizenship: You may apply for the Global Scholarships only if you are ineligible to apply via any existing Rhodes constituency. If you have a strong connection to one or more Rhodes constituency but do not meet their eligibility requirements, consider applying through interjurisdictional consideration rather than the Global Scholarship.
• Age: You must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Be aged 18-23 on 1st October 2024 (born between 2 October 2000 and 1 October 2006). OR
2. If you have completed your first undergraduate degree later than usual, you must be under 27 on 1st October 2024 (born between 2 October 1997 and 1 October 2023.

*Note: The date of degree completion is determined by your university’s policy and may differ from the graduation or award date. The National Secretary’s decision is final in ambiguous cases.

Scholarship Benefits

• Covers Oxford University course fees.
• Provides an annual stipend (£19,092 per annum for 2023/24) for living expenses, including accommodation (not sufficient for dependents).
• Covers the application fee for studying at Oxford.
• Covers student visa fees and the International Health Surcharge (IHS) for accessing the UK’s National Health Service.
• Includes two economy class flights (to and from the UK) at the start and end of your studies.
• Provides a settling-in allowance upon arrival in Oxford and support for visa renewal and IHS application for those transitioning to a second course.

Academic Requirements

• Must have completed an undergraduate degree by July 2025.
• Must meet or exceed the specific entry requirements of your chosen course at Oxford.
• Higher chance of admission with:
  • A First Class Honours Degree or equivalent.
  • A GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
• Must meet Oxford’s English language requirements, providing test results unless eligible for a waiver.

Application Process

• Complete and submit the online application form by 23:59 GMT, 1 August 2024.
• No application fee is required for the Rhodes Scholarship application form.
• Apply for the Rhodes Scholarship before applying to your chosen Oxford course.
• Selected candidates must then apply for their course at Oxford with support from Rhodes House.
• If unsuccessful, you may re-apply only once more in the same constituency, subject to eligibility.
