DAAD Study Scholarship Programme for STEM Disciplines

Young academics and future professionals from developing and emerging countries, a Scholarship has been curated for you by the DAAD Study Scholarship Programme. This scholarship allows you to further your academic and professional careers in Germany.

The DAAD Study Scholarship programme is for individuals who wants to have their Master’s degree in innovation-driven STEM fields such as mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and engineering.

Eligibility

DAAD Study scholarship programme targets high-achieving students from developing and emerging countries who wish to undertake a Master’s degree in the STEM subjects at a German university. To be eligible, applicants must have completed their undergraduate studies with a degree recognised in Germany (e.g. Bachelor’s degree) by the application deadline.
Applicants who already hold a Master’s degree are not eligible to apply.

Duration of the Funding

The DAAD study scholarship provides funding for a period ranging from 10 months to a maximum of 24 months, depending on the standard duration of the chosen full-time Master’s degree programme.

Scholarship Benefits

• Monthly scholarship payments of 934 euros
• Contributions towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover (see also our important information for scholarship applicants / section F, point 4)
• A travel allowance
• An annual study allowance of 460 euros.

Selection Criteria

• Academic qualification: Evaluation based on academic achievements, course of studies, and knowledge of the language(s) of instruction or working language(s).
• Relevant Experience: Consideration of relevant internships and work experience, if applicable
