The DAAD Study Scholarship programme is for individuals who wants to have their Master’s degree in innovation-driven STEM fields such as mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and engineering.

Eligibility
DAAD Study scholarship programme targets high-achieving students from developing and emerging countries who wish to undertake a Master’s degree in the STEM subjects at a German university. To be eligible, applicants must have completed their undergraduate studies with a degree recognised in Germany (e.g. Bachelor’s degree) by the application deadline.
Applicants who already hold a Master’s degree are not eligible to apply.
Duration of the Funding
The DAAD study scholarship provides funding for a period ranging from 10 months to a maximum of 24 months, depending on the standard duration of the chosen full-time Master’s degree programme.
Scholarship Benefits
- Monthly scholarship payments of 934 euros
- Contributions towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover (see also our important information for scholarship applicants / section F, point 4)
- A travel allowance
- An annual study allowance of 460 euros.
Selection Criteria
- Academic qualification: Evaluation based on academic achievements, course of studies, and knowledge of the language(s) of instruction or working language(s).
- Relevant Experience: Consideration of relevant internships and work experience, if applicable
