An annual scholarship to exceptional international postgraduate students who are interested in pursuing a master’s by research or a PhD has been curated by the University of Sydney International Scholarship board. This scholarship is fully funded and in 2023, the scholarship was valued at $37,207 per year. It covers the tuition fees and living expenses of these students in Australia.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, you must:

• Be a commencing or enrolled international student
• Have a remarkable academic and research track record
• Hold an unconditional offer of admission or be currently enrolled in a master’s by research or PhD program at the University of Sydney.

Application instructions:

Commencing students simply need to select the appropriate checkbox during the admission application process for their postgraduate research degree. There is no need for a separate application.

Applications for the scholarship are open throughout the year, with specific deadlines found here. For research periods 1 and 2 in 2025, the deadline is September 13, 2024 while research periods 3 and 4 in 2025, the deadline is December 17, 2024.
