The Standard Bank Group Bursary Programme is seeking individuals that fall into any of these fields as it aims to foster academic excellence and cultivate the next generation of African talent and leaders. As a recipient of this scholarship, if you are offered employment in Standard, you will be expected to work for Standard Bank after you have graduated from your tertiary institution.

Undergraduate Bursary
The undergraduate bursary targets students who have completed their first year and require financial support from their second year onwards. Applicants should demonstrate well-roundedness and strong academic performance in their chosen field.
Minimum eligibility criteria include:
- Attainment of an average score of 65% or higher in the most recent examinations.
- Enrollment in full-time undergraduate studies.
- Participation in a formal assessment process, including Psychometric evaluation and an interview.
- Consideration of financial need in the application process.
Postgraduate Bursary
The postgraduate bursary offers full-cost bursaries to financially deserving and academically excellent students pursuing postgraduate studies in the specified fields.
Minimum eligibility criteria include:
- Attainment of an average score of 65% or higher in the most recent examinations.
- Registration for full-time postgraduate studies at a public South African institution of higher learning.
- Participation in a formal assessment process, including Psychometric evaluation and an interview.
- Consideration of financial need in the application process.
Bursary Details
The Standard Bank Group Bursary Fund covers various study-related expenses, including university fees, accommodation (university residence or private accommodation), meals, books, a laptop computer, a monthly stipend for living expenses, and transport between home and campus.
