NNPC Graduate Trainee Program for Nigerian Graduates

Nigerian graduates who desire an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). The NNPC Graduate Trainee Program is for recent Nigerian graduates who desire to develop professionally and receive mentorship in a diverse and dynamic environment.

Program Expectations

As an NNPC Graduate Trainee, you will:

  • Support the implementation of organizational processes.
  • Deliver cost-effective business outcomes.
  • Assist line managers and supervisors in developing and executing strategic work plans across various functions.
  • Contribute to project team assignments.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division.
  • Hold an HND with Distinction.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a Second Class Lower Division and a completed Master’s Degree.
  • Hold an HND with Upper Credit and a completed Master’s Degree.
  • Graduated from an accredited university, polytechnic, or monotechnic not earlier than 2019.
  • Completed the NYSC program.
  • Be no older than 28 years as of December 31, 2024.
  • Possess strong communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.

Eligible Disciplines

The following fields of study are eligible for the program:

  • Sciences: Geology, Geophysics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Basin Modelling, Surveying, Architecture, etc.
  • Engineering: Petroleum, Gas, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Power, Software, Computer, Environmental, Marine, Materials/Metallurgical, Pipeline Engineering, etc.
  • Business/Management: Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Management, Purchasing & Supply, Management Information System, Human Resource Management, etc.
  • Social Sciences: Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration, International Relations/Studies, etc.
  • Arts/Humanities: Mass Communication, English, History, etc.
  • Law: Law.

Additional Information

  • Applicants should attach any relevant professional certifications attained.
  • Successful candidates must be willing to work in any NNPC Limited business location.
  • Experienced professionals will be recruited into the Supervisory Cadre.
  • Strong communication, computer, and interpersonal skills are essential.
