Benefits

Contribute Meaningfully to Projects
Join a team with other Scholars and the EIT Faculty of Fellows to work on significant projects during the academic year and summers. Initially designed by a Faculty Fellow, projects will leverage Scholars’ talents to advance their goals. Scholars will design and build software, sensors, small molecules, proteins, new materials, and more, limited only by imagination and natural law.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Each Scholar will be chosen by an EIT Faculty Fellow to collaborate on their project. These multidisciplinary projects involve teams that include other Scholars, the Faculty of Fellows, other EIT scientists and engineers, and students and faculty from affiliated universities to help Scholars achieve their objectives.

Fully Funded Studies and Internships
This academic scholarship covers all course fees at the University of Oxford and provides a generous stipend for travel, programming, accommodation, and living expenses. The multi-year program includes the equivalent of paid internships, allowing continued work on a project within EIT’s humane endeavors.

State-of-the-Art Facilities
Los Angeles and Oxford campuses feature laboratories for robot development, state-of-the-art proteomic analysis and genomic sequencing, advanced cloud-controlled greenhouses, and the world’s largest computer for designing and training artificial neural networks: a 16,000-node NVIDIA H100 GPU supercluster interconnected by a low latency, high bandwidth RDMA network.

Lifelong Scholars Network
The relationship between the Scholar and EIT continues beyond graduation. Scholars will have ongoing access to EIT technology and resources as they work toward significant change in their home countries and globally. Projects may receive long-term future funding as spin-off companies. Alumni Scholars are expected to provide mentorship and guidance to future Scholars.
