Requirements

General Requirements:

• Female nationality and residency in an African country.
• Enrollment in an African university or possession of a university degree issued in Africa. For postgraduate scholarships, a Bachelor’s degree is required. The degree required may vary depending on the scholarship applied for.
• Specific requirements of the scholarship being applied for.
• Only one application per person allowed.

Technical and Academic Requirements:

• Fulfillment of academic requirements specified by the host university.
• Submission of duly legalized, certified, and translated copies of academic documents.
• Possession of a degree enabling pursuit of the desired studies (masters or Ph.D.).
• Adequate computer equipment for online courses (for online scholarships).

Language Requirements:

• High proficiency in the language of instruction (B2 or C1 level depending on the host university).
• Language skills verification through official language certificates or telephone interviews.

Benefits

Scholarship Coverage:

• Online scholarships cover tuition fees only.
• Face-to-face scholarships cover tuition fees, round trip, accommodation, meals, and health insurance.
• Exclusions may apply for expenses like re-enrollment fees, internet connection (for online scholarships), visa issuance costs, document legalization, etc.
• Scholarships are individual; no support is provided for accompanying family members.

Evaluation Criteria

• Evaluation based on CV, reference letter(s), motivation letter, language skills, and project/concept note (if required).
• Specialized committee conducts initial assessment of applications.
